What our students have to say:

I am a designing student at Gautam Banerjee institute, while designing I felt the need to learn manufacturing for better understanding of design. Hence I joined IIJ for the course IIJP as I would also learn CAD and gemology along with manufacturing. The teaching has been good at IIJ. My experience at IIJ was enjoyable. I aspire to become a jewellery designer.

It has been a truly beautiful experience, where I learnt concepts, proportions and the basics of drawing and colouring. The teachers explained to me the importance of shading and rendering and how to make a flat drawing become "Alive".

I wanted to learn free hand designing and manufacturing so that I could make jewellery if needed without external help. I got to know about IIJ from the internet. My experience here was amazing. The teaching has been good. CAD is very helpful and I can create designs of my own with it now. My plan for the future is to become a jewellery designer and open up a small store. I would like to gain some experience in the Indian market before I start my own jewellery line.

I chose to pursue my career with IIJ as, it is a reputed institute and well recognized in the jewellery industry. I was always fascinated with jewellery. I used to select exclusive jewellery pieces for my personal use as well as for others. It is only IIJ that teaches every aspect of jewellery – industry / business. It is a complete learning process that starts from simple motifs to making pieces manually. The CAD designs are also handy. Gemology makes us aware about different kinds of stones, gemstones, and diamonds available in the market. The teaching is very good. In all the departments the faculty is very helpful and gives personal attention.

At IIJ I am pursuing the IIJ Professional program (IIJP) where I am currently learning how to make rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets etc. I am truly satisfied with my work and the faculty at IIJ. I had taken up commerce in college after which I did my MBA, so coming from a typical college background IIJ was a total different experience. No doubt my learning experience was very satisfactory but what I liked the most was the warmth, kindness and politeness of the teachers and the staff. It makes a very comfortable environment to learn. I do not come from a jewellery background. I have a family business of manufacturing eyewear. So after the course I want to develop new designs in eyewear and bring out eyewear as jewellery and not just an accessory.

Hello everyone I am Aarti Palekar. At present I am pursuing the – Indian Institute of Professional Program - IIJP. It's a learning experience for me and has helped me boost my talent. As an artist the program has helped me think with a broader horizon, as my designs results of combination of my creativity and technical aspects of design which I learnt at IIJ. We had an annual festival "Aakrati" – wherein we learnt some traditional Indian art and craft technique. I am quite sure the program will help me build a glorifying career in design and will eventually help me carve a brand name for myself.

I pursued my Master Creator course from IIJ in 2010. I joined the Jewellery industry because my mother runs a clothes boutique and I wanted to expand the line. The reason I chose IIJ to do this course was that it is the only institute that offered a jewellery manufacturing course, which is essential for a beginner to start with. Now that I have started my own business, I understand that design, price and quality control are very important to retain all your customers. I was given the opportunity to showcase my collection in IIJ's annual exhibition and sale held during the Annual Convocation week. I am hoping to be there next year as well. Thanks to all at IIJ.

The infrastructure offered at IIJ is excellent. Since I am already working in the industry, learning the technical aspects of jewellery manufacturing at IIJ gave my career a real boost. Today, I enjoy what I do. Ofcourse, making jewellery with your own hands is in itself a wonderful experience. Overall, I have enjoyed learning at IIJ.

The course curriculum offered at IIJ is extremely interactive and therefore helps us learn more out of it. The faculties ensure that before complex designs & procedures are taught, we are made thorough with a strong foundation. Students are given proper time & attention to understand in class. I would definitely recommend anyone to join IIJ.

Learning at IIJ has been a turning point in my life. I came to know about IIJ through a newspaper advertisement, after which I visited the institute. I learnt a lot about the best techniques not only in designing or manufacturing of jewellery, but also in representing it well. I have already completed the course I had signed up for and I’m now ready to enroll for the next program and continue my learning at IIJ.

When I joined IIJ, I felt designing would be a piece of cake, but I was wrong. When it started, it was not that hard - simple cubes and shapes in 3D form; then gradually as the faculty introduced technical sketches, it became very complicated. Learning how to design for various markets taught me fabulous things that I had never imagined. I’m already hungry to learn more.

I am an Industrial Designer based in Mexico and I was looking to start a career in the Gems & Jewellery industry. While searching for institutes around the globe, I came across IIJ as the only institute that offers comprehensive courses for the industry. I finally found what I was looking for and moved to India to complete the course. I’m totally enjoying every bit of the experience so far.

I am 19 and didn’t wish to continue with my regular studies. I wanted to opt for an offbeat career. Being a creative person I was in search of the right path & a good opportunity. I was confused. A friend of mine recommended IIJ. I wanted to specialize in jewellery and that’s when I enrolled at IIJ. Today I don’t just have a job, I have a career that will take me a long way in life. Thanks to IIJ!

Learning at IIJ has been an enjoyable experience. IIJ doesn’t just focus on theory or practical, but on all round exposure to the industry. I had an opportunity to attend innumerable guest lectures, seminars, workshops and field visits in addition to regular classes, that have helped me understand how the industry functions. I am happy I chose to be a part of IIJ and the Gems and Jewellery industry.

I am truly satisfied with my work and the faculty at IIJ. This will help me in the near future when I build my career in the Gems and Jewellery Industry.

I started my career in the Gems and Jewellery industry last year. However, I realized that it was not only important to have the right skills but the right education too. That’s what brought me to IIJ. I believe that a jewellery designer doesn’t just create a trend; his innovation creates a market for good work. In a few months time, I know I will be a successful jewellery designer and merchandiser. IIJ has provided me with such intense knowledge and has groomed me and made me confident to go back into the industry.
