The VTP Program at IIJ Reaches a New Milestone!

As the Indian Institute of Jewellery continues to explore new avenues, it continues to forge ahead on previously created paths, much like in the case of its role as a Vocational Training Provider. As a VTP, IIJ not only began it’s third Foundation Course batch on the 2nd of February 2010, but it also saw, on the same day, the commencement of the first VTP Rhino batch (it is mandatory to complete for VTP students to successfully complete the Foundation Course before embarking on more advanced courses.)

The VTP courses have met with overwhelming success; students are proud to study at IIJ’s state-of-the-art campus and have taken a genuine interest in their coursework. IIJ and its well-wishing sponsors also provide a free meal at lunchtime to the students, providing these students, most of whom face financial impediments, with further impetus to study. Course timings are maintained so as to minimally interfere with students’ work schedules thereby allowing them to pursue both, an educational and a professional life. The results were clear during the first assessment round where students’ scores exceeded expectations, of the faculty as well as of the examiner.

The staff of IIJ sincerely looks forward to the upcoming VTP batches as they find that the students are not only enthusiastic and hardworking but incredibly intelligent as well!
