With a view to preserve traditional arts and crafts and bring them to the modern generation of people, the Indian Institute of Jewellery (IIJ), has initiated and launched it's annual event, Aakriti-'IIJ's Annual CreativeFest'.
Aakriti is a common dais for craftsmen from every corner of ther country to e4xpress and display their skills, to people who appreciate and acknowledge their creative efforts and inherent talents.
Aakriti addresses various traditional workshops like Lac Artistry, Papier Mache, Tarkashi, Terracotta, Bridri and Enameling (Meenakari). Besides these, the fest also addresses workshops like Gemmology, Jewellery Designing, Diamond Grading, Bead Work, 2D Aided Design using Gemvision's Digital Goldsmith, Jewellery Manufacturing, Casting and Embossing.
