1. What are the courses available at IIJ?
  IIJ offers a career course i.e. Indian Institute of Jewellery Professional Program with specialization in Jewellery Manufacturing / Designing / Gemology. It also offers short term value addition programs in the fields of Computer Aided Designing, Diamond Grading, Coloured Stones and Jewellery in Organized Retail Management. The Post Graduate Diploma in Jewellery Management (PGDJM) and the Diploma in Jewellery Design management (DJDM) programs are offered through Garware Institute of Career Development, University of Mumbai
2. What is the eligibility criteria?
  A Minimum of a X STD qualification would be required
University of Mumbai programs –
Post Graduate diploma in Jewellery Management (PGDJM) - a graduate in any field
Diploma in Jewellery Design and Management (DJDM) - STD XII pass.
3. Is it a Full time or Part time course?
  Most of the courses offered are full time which is the ideal way to pursue a career program .i.e. 9 am to 5 pm. Short Term Courses are offered part time which could be one or two sessions a day.
4. What is the procedure for Admission?
  Once a decision is made, the student has to fill the Registration Form and Student Undertaking Form and acknowledge the rules and regulations mentioned in the form. Along with the filled forms, the students need to submit 5 photographs, last education certificate and work experience certificate (if any) along with registration fees / the batch start fees / the full fees, as applicable.
5. Are there any entrance exams for IIJ courses?
  No, there are no entrance exams for any programs. There is however an interaction with our Academic Administrator or Member Advisory board which can also be done over the telephone for out station students. The tele-conversation is purely to understand your reasons for joining this program.
However for the Post Graduate Diploma in Jewellery Management (PGDJM) and Diploma in Jewellery Designing & Management (DJDM) admissions, there is a simple aptitude test followed by a Group discussion and Personal Interview round.
6. What are the admission requirements for International Students?
  International students have to apply for the Provisional Letter of Acceptance. On receiving this letter, Total Fees has to be paid by all international students, (can be wire transferred) to receive an Acceptance Offer. This acceptance letter is required to apply for a student visa in their home country.
7. How do I get detailed information like fees etc on the programs offered at IIJ?

8. Does the course fee include the course material?
  Yes, our tuition fees include all the consumables and tools you would be requiring during your training, other than the consumables you would need for your final project.
9. Is there any Installment facility available for paying course fees?
  Installment facility is only available for the Professional IIJP program. There is no installment facility provided for the short term courses.
10. Are there any fee assistance / scholarship provided?
  Not at the moment.
